Size of wristbands

Can someone explain to me why when give diabetes affects so many fat people that the wristbands i can find only seem to go up to 22 odd cm, ok big enough for most i get it, but for folks who don't have wrists like twiglets what's the deal, it just seems bonkers to me, I hate dog tags as well, anyone know of a place that does larger sizes?

I got mine from Amazon, a leather bracelet and it is long, roughly ten inches.

Aha - the one I currently have is for Juniors! Perhaps there is a hidden agenda where the makers are setting you a weight limit to aim for. Anyway, yes there should be more choice.

Try and get to an open air in a field carboot sale. You can get nice looking plated stretchy silicon rubber wristbands for about £2 or less. You can then use ebay or amazon to get a diabetic disc type charm and attach it to the silicon rubber.

I couldnt see a charm small enough so OH got a 5p coin and polished the surface flat on a grinder and then drilled a tiny hole in the top for a keyring to fix to. I got a shoe mender in our town to engrave on the front and back and voila......a cutprice diabetic bracelet that does the job and looks good too.
