Hi, I had the same problem, every step was agony. It affected my feet and hands. Lotions, potions. Referred to dermatologist, took about 2 years to eventually get PUVA therapy (light treatment). Went twice a week for about 30 weeks I think it was. Told to moisturize 3 times a day. I tried all the expensive creams but nothing worked. Had allergy skin tests, seemingly allergic to propolis (not convinced). Started only using tub of liquid paraffin 50%/50%. Worked really well. For bad flare ups prescribed Betnovate C brilliant. Near end of PUVA treatment was diagnosed as type2. Took up tennis again after 15 years of sedentary life. Doctor really pleased bloods down from 10 to 6. Skin on feet look really good now. I have my life backOver the last five months my feet have completely dried out and are so sore with deep cracks, walking is unbelievably painful, showering/bathing feels like acid to my feet. After numerous visits to the chiropodist and doctors, a drawer full of creams and lotions, antibiotics, nothing has worked. I am now waiting an appointment to a dermotolagist. Has anyone else had problems that are either on going or they have managed to find a solution to helping an issue like this?
I did try looking up private but only came up with ones in London which is such a long way, if it meant a fair few visits, I travelled to London yesterday to pick up a uvb lamp and that was an utter nightmare, 6 hour round trip!
