hello!

lately I have constantly high blood sugar, not excessive though and I am about to be diagnosed with diabetes

however the symptom that is the most prominent is that I really struggle to wake up in the morning

even if I have slept for 12h or more, I can't wake up in the morning!

also, I experience sleepiness urges through out the day

I don't think I was ever like that, I mean it's extreme sleepiness

could that be due to diabetes?

It could possibly be but it would be best to discuss the issue with your Dr. Before I was diagnosed I used to have episodes where I would be completely out for about 4 hours and I couldnt be woken up but your BS would generally be 30+ or more .

High greener. Yes I also started getting really tired all the time when I got diabetes. It's quite a common symptom.

One other thing to be mindful of is sleep apnea. Seeing as T2 diabetes (and pre diabetes) are quite often associated with carrying a bit of excess weight, sleep apnea of some form is not uncommon either.

Yep , was stupid tired all the time before I got my bloods lowered............
