Slip in HBA1c result

My last HBA1c in november was 7.2

Just got my latest result of 10.2, feeling a little disapointed with myself to be honest

I am sure you feel very disappointed in yourself. But you know what you did wrong, so don't give up.
I recently read that at least half of all diabetics give up trying to control their condition within a year, and return to the lifestyle that made them ill.
It is very easy to slip, but you have got those BGs down before, and you can do it again.

Lucklily, I've been able to control my HbA1c through diet alone. Sure, I've had to change my eating habits drasticallyt, but it sure beat the alternatives.

I've come to realize that "starch" is my biggest enemy as a Type II diabetic. So now I rarely eat anything that could be classified as a starch - like, potatoe, rice, flour, corn, etc. The great thing is that I feel much better, and that there are other alternatives out there that taste even better! If you don't believe me, stick your finger into some flour, then put it into your mouth and taste...yuk, no taste, right? :thumbdown:

I should try reading peoples profiles - I see you are Type 1 therefore on insulin. What's happend to make the increase?
