Hi any tips for low carb snacks such as biscuits etc? Basically need to eat something at break time at work because I get peckish in the morning ( I work long hours so have breakfast at 530am and then get hungry about 10am) so want something to keep me going until lunch but won't spike my blood sugars massively. TIA

I use Babybel cheeses, sometimes with an Aldi Harvest Wheat cracker or two (3g per wafer, < 0.5g sugar), and I use butter on them to slow down the spike effect.

Pork scratchings. Small cheese portions. Nuts (check carb content). 9 Bars (brand) peanut version are nice and have 8.6g of carbs.

Hey Sam, I tend to steer clear of biscuits due to carb content, so snack on nuts (not salted or peanuts) or pork scratchings if wanting something more indulgent. Cheese is also a good one, olives too ;)

Brazil nuts, walnuts, almonds, all low carbs & about 5g per 100g

Sorry forgot to mention I have a severe nut allergy as well. Makes things difficult! Thanks for feedback, anymore ideas appreciated.

I eat Babybel or cheddar, but I usually just bolus for snacks so I can have some carbs. If you're happy with that, it does broaden your options. I quite understand why you get hungry after that early start!

I keep my snacks below 25g, usually 10-20g carbs. I have digestive biscuit and cheddar, a cereal bar, satsuma and two oatcakes with smoked salmon, fresh coconut and an apple, etc

Try the cheese or even slices meat as a snack, just test your postprandial bg afterwards in case it does raise your bg levels.

Nairn's do a nice cheese oatcakes that are 3.7g of carbs, they are rather nice and good as a snack with some cheese on.

Avocado/ guacamole with celery. My stand by and favorite snack. Bs doesn't move
