Now my BG is anything from 5.3 to 7.7 even an 8. I have never had such large swings, the fatigue is back really badly. I have started taking Cod liver oil capsules to help boost the minute amounts of Vit D my doctor prescribed, yet after one day of feeling much better, I now feel awful. I eat a lot of fish (sea bass tonight) meat (a lot of chicken, and also turkey added to this weeks shop) loads of veg and salad, I also always have berry's frozen and fresh for snacks and light meals. I keep a very detailed food diary, as well as a very detailed BG and Carb record. What's happening to me? I feel exhausted, stressed, and so frustrated.

Yesterday 627
Sunday 961
Saturday 735
Friday 775
Thursday 667
Wednesday 615
Today so far - 263
My highest carbs ever were 40g usually they are around 11 - 29 with 5g on Sunday.
The 8 was after 2 hours, they are never that high, but when I look at my BG graph I can see they are much higher then they have been before at all testing times.

So you are doing a little better. You're about on par with someone on the Newcastle diet. It's probably not that surprising that you're exhausted.
When are you going to see the Doc next to get on that SR?

Stop your testing!
Had the same thing over the weekend. BG's went up and up hit an 8 and God knows you know I'm more anal about them than you!
Came to the conclusion my BG's were rising because the stress of getting a bad reading was causing the next one to be worse. I stopped testing for a day and a half. Unheard of for me. My poor spreadsheet is bereft. Sunday evening I then had a nice relaxing bath and good dose of gin to chill and just watched the telly but just made sure I didn't eat anything bad then measured just before bed at 5.2. Yesterday they were still a bit elevated but today all back to normal.
Try that. Not testing for a couple of days wont kill you.
))Denise(( said:Get some more vitamin D inside you Defren, it will make you feel better. Go back to your doctor and ask for the vitamin D injections, if you can't get these then try http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/ ... =163&sid=0 and take at least 2000 IU a day or http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/ ... =163&sid=0 two squirts a day at least.
I've been there, had the t-shirt, I know how vitamin D deficiency can knock the stuffing out of you and not eating much is making it worse. Life is so different for me now I take supplements.

On such a small amount of food, is it possible your liver is dumping glucose at irregular times to try and over-compensate for a lack of calories?
