When the sugar cravings become overwhelming there are always sugar free, Werther's and the like. The laxative effect of too many should make you stick to just a couple.

I also eat bacon, pork, beef and fatty fish. Stopped eating potatoes and some fruits as fill of carbs.I annoyed the hell out of my partner by checking the carb and sugar content of everything packaged lol.
I now have Salads for lunch- lettuce, tomatoes, cooked chicken, eggs and cheese etc.
I also have chicken thighs and fillets and picked up some low fat mince to make bolognese (no spaghetti) for evening meals with a variety of veg eg carrots, broccoli and sprouts.
And a variety of berries which, happily, they were virtually giving away by the punnet!.
But I forgot the Pork scratchings for work snacks...insert sad face here..
Did I do okay ?

Yes you did great. Don't deprive yourself completely of carbs as your body does need some. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables they fill you up too. Porridge is great for breakfast and a slow releasing carb. I have mine with blueberries or half a banana or pear. Try not to have too many pork scratchings as they are nearly 100% fat but for a treat they are great.I annoyed the hell out of my partner by checking the carb and sugar content of everything packaged lol.

My partner was diagnosed in June. He's lost about 4 stone (HBA1C down from 122 to 41 in November!) and I've lost just over 3 stone to boot! I'm down from a size 18 to size 14 for the first time in my adult life! I'm not diabetic, but I'm the main cook and it is far easier just to cook the same meals for both of us. I have full fat yoghurt, cream in my coffee and plenty other fats daily. This has by far been the easiest way to lose weight....I'm hardly ever left feeling hungry unlike with low-fat diets. Tell her to give it a go! She'll thank us when she starts dropping dress sizes!
I can’t have nuts. You are doing fine keep on , all sorts of nuts are also fine treats ; Lidl has a lot to choose between , I am in love with macadamia nuts sometimes I buy nuts at BulkPowder.com when they are on sale there
Champignons are also great for almost no-carbing

Yes I’ve seen them advertised. Looks like they may be fun to mess about with.We just gotva spraliser. Had my first Bolognese with courgette spaghetti while wife had pasta. Almost as good as the real thing. Can't wait to try carrot curly fries.
