I am only going to the nurse tomorrow and as she is never very sympathetic saying things like 'it is only a matter of time before you have a heart attack or stroke'.......builds a lot of confidence...... I am not going to mention the low carbing to her I will wait till I see my GP the next week as he is a lot more understanding of things. I just want him to give me another chance to control things myself. I know eventually over the years i might need to go on insulin but although I am 62 I still feel I am a bit young and want to enjoy my retirement now. This site is great for helping and although I am not being too strict with the carbs if my sugars go up I will be stricter. I have sent for a low carb receipe book which hopefully will make it interesting
