So what's your OH eating tonight ?

Interesting reading. Me and the OH generally eat the same stuff as we cook food together. We also pre make lunch for work so we know exactly what we are eating. I guess that helps when we are trying to consistently maintain specific macro nutrients. Still, at least by both of us eating healthily, we both get the benefit!

We eat the same diet, except that Mr B sometimes has toast at breakfast and will have larger carb portions than me, when I have carbs. When I'm not around, his diet will have a few more carbs in it, but not outrageously so. He commented once a few weeks ago, almost annoyed, that he couldn't be bothered with most of the carbs, when he's cooking for one.

When we emabraked on a lower carb way of eating, he also trimmed up, and he's now sitting at 67kg on his 5' 7" body. He's very trim, in a 32 inch waist, but still has plenty muscle around and very good skin tone.

@donnellysdogs - perhaps your husband revert to a pizza because it was, easy, convenient and "makes a change" without "worrying" about an alternative for you? Just a thought.

Mr ethyl eats far too many carbs after a lifetime of manual farmwork so I am trying to scale him back. He'll have toast or croissants for breakfast, homemade soup and a roll or sandwiches at lunchtime and then we have the same evening meals, but his will be supplemented with rice, pasta, or spuds of some shape or form and much larger portions of carrots and peas than me.
He'll be 50 next year so we'll see what the MOT test our surgery offers shows up. He lost a bit of weight but has about 2 st to shift - my words go unheeded and often end up causing more marmalade to go on even more toast so maybe a nasty blood test will be the kick up the proverbial that he needs.

He just reverts back to "easy" carb ready meals when I'm not around...it just shows our different personalitys...(he does do the vast majority of our food though!!)

I just can't be assed to eat. He will just take a meal though meant for 2 or 4 people when I'm not around. If I'm out with my own friends or away for weemend.. He just reveetts totallyto gluttony, despite being lower carbs now for nigh on a year... His final choice too.. I been like it 50 years.... Baaaaahhhhh!!!!

Many years ago she had a musel relaxant tablet, but she will not do Drs now so has no more of them... Advcrdos and bananas will also do the puffy thing ... Red wine .. Never seen her have milk in anything, but she can eat a small amount of cheese.. Life's a funny thing :banghead:

Edit to add.. Also nuts cause a mega reaction !
It is really awful , I am sorry your wife suffers this way ..shame you wife won't go back to see a Dr I think there are better drugs now , but they don't seem always be up,on allergies ...well it's a battle for some I know ....tc ...

No we just eat the same meals, based around a Mediterranean diet wherever possible.
Hi @noblehead i have just tried one of those biscuits ..Nairns....the choc oat ones ...it was just right for me ...Thank you and Mrs noble for suggesting them ....yummie ..they are so me ...they suit my veggie taste buds as well ....

As I'm the one who normally does the cooking (after all he did used to have a meal ready for me when I got home from work) he gets what I put in front of him. Occasionally he will complain (do we have to have vegetables again - yes you do!) but mostly he will eat it. No no's are butternut squash, sweetcorn, sweet potato but mostly he's easily pleased.

lucky Mr Tom .. but we did have a curry tonight .. just going to do the 2 hrs test now .. fingers crossed !!!!!

Edit to add .. 5.8 happy days :angelic:

it was wonderful ..2 different curry, and had 2 popadoms with a reasonable amount of brown rice .. onion salad with lots of cucumber .. (we have run out of basmati rice)
everything outside was covered in ice this morning, I seem to feel the cold more now !

Polar bears andwhales survive the cold extremes due to fat / blubber. Only well fed larger hedgehogs survive our winters..

I found that as a slimmer person I've felt the cold more than fatter hubby. This year is different. He is 4st lighter and also feeling the cold more!!

My mate was a meat eater until she connected with me and after asking me to be hir wife well lets say meat and anything from an animal went out the window over the course of the past 8 years - me I've been vegetarian for over 20 years (I was vegetarian when I got told I was T1).

The funny thing is since eating more veggies my mates actually put on weight (maybe more then she needs now, but at the time she needed to gain about 100 pounds, she was big time under weight) so even eating healthy can = weight gain depending on things in life.

::chuckles:: true a lot of the animal kingdom that are vegetarian are anything but on the thin side of things ... humans are no different in that regards ... its still funny that some people say you can't be V if you X weight but then again insulin n carbs and everything well weight gain can be an issue
