Solo micro pump Roche

Has anybody got any info on Roche's next generation pump??

My consultant mentioned it to be at my last appointment but couldn't go into detail due to a Non Disclosure Agreement.

I am seeing my consultant again in early February so will report back if I get any interesting info!

My DSN tells me that it will take either preloaded cartridges (Brilliant, no bubbles) or self loading spirit levels as at present. The bad news (For me) is that she tells me the preloaded carts will be NovoRapid only – I use Apidra.
 
We are looking for diabetes patients to take part in our paid study.

* Must be type 1 either PATCH/ PUMP (Omnipod)

* Max 2hrs - £50 or Max 90mins - £40

* 22nd January

* Only pump and patch method no Pens


The study involves you just talking about your day to day routine and any problems that you come into. You will need to be available to come to Hammersmith You will not be taking any medication in any way simply giving your opinion.

If you are interested please contact us asap or know of anyone who might be interested.
Would take part but not sure about getting to the hammersmith is the 22nd the only date?

Roche told me they are experiencing some mayor difficulties producing the Solo Micropump. It most likely won't be on the marked before 2016, maybe even later.
I was signed in for the Solo 2 years ago and temporary set on the Accu-Chek Combo. They did it with a lot of T1D's in the Netherlands, just to prevent they would go for the Omnipod. So it looks like i'm on the combo for 4y. Disappointing...I looked forward to use the Solo.
 
Oooh noooo!! I was so looking forward to my new roche solo pump. Dont want anything else, that means couldnt have solo till 2018!!!

I've emailed accuchek and asked about the availabilty for a solo later this year. Will let you know their response. Where did Theo get info from?

I am seeing my consultant on Thursday who is on good terms with the local Roche rep. I'm sure I will have some more info. I'll post back here if I do.

An updated spec appeared here on 15th Jan 14 and includes some specific details in the table at the bottom of the page which makes me hopeful that the Solo will be with us sooner rather than later...

I hope so as I love my expert meter.
 
Yep.. I'm the same too. Love the remote control!!touch screen next one!! That'll be a laugh its bad enough typing and making mistakes on iphone!!-lol!!

No update from Roche from the email I sent either. Now I am in a real quandry. I do not want a different pump...i will phone Accuchek next week.

Copied from email this morning.... My pump due to be replaced August 2014.

"Thank you for your e-mail and I am sorry to see no one has responded to you just yet. We had forwarded your e-mail onto the product manager to find out the information for you however the Solo pump will not be available when your current warranty expires. Hopefully the product manager will be able to help with the other questions and once we have a reply we will be in touch".

I asked whether they would give me a replacement until the new one available, or how I stood having to carry on with the old one until the solo is available... Guess this is a question for the hospital too!!

After 4 years....I'm really hoping to have them tell me they will give me a temporary pump, but will have solo asap...

Time goes by really quick... Can't believe I'm 4 years August. Really seems like yesterday. I just do not want any other pump.... So am absolutely gutted at the moment!!

Got response from accuchek today. They haven't got a launch date, and my dsn should have been contacted by accuchek rep to tell her my options... So now emailed my consultant....
