Hello folks

I do a lot of reading to help me relax and I have had reading glasses for a long while now. I seam to have developed red marks on the bridge of my nose and the last few days it has been extremely sore to the point where even after a few minutes I have to take off my glasses.

They are just bog standard reading glasses and I am due to the opticians for my annual sight test next week but I wonder if anyone has any advice or a solution for me. For instance would lighter lenses help? or is there a way of toughening up the skin etc and maybe ideas on how to treat and get rid of the red marks.

Thanks folks

Mark

I used to get that with my old glasses, they were the ones with little pads? But I wore them aaaaaaaall day.

Now I have the fully plastic ones. They are a lot more comfortable!

Thanks Hale yes I wear mine all the time too going to will check the plastic ones out with the optician on Monday, then 2 days later its my second Hb1Ac :P

Self adhesive foam nose pads are available from vairous outlets and I have found these to be very good when needed. It might be worth looking at comfort bridge type frames in future as that type do spread the lens load better.
