I am trying to amend my diet having been diagnosed as prediabetic - can you please advise me if there are benefits of changing to soya /oat/almond milk instead of normal milk?
Thanks

Double cream much better. However, I do have unsweetend Almond Milk at the coffee shop over the road. They don't do cream.

I swapped to full fat milk from skimmed, which means I use less.
Breakfast includes coconut milk. bedtime drink is with a little milk plus cream and hot water.
Some nut milks are better than others, and some coconut milks have very different amounts of carbs, so always check the carbs on the nutrition list.

I happily use both unsweetened almond or hazelnut "milk" in my coffee, bedtime cocoa and my coffee/cocoa mocha, and use liquid stevia for sweetening these drinks which also helps cut down on the carbs.

I find double cream is a little bit too much for me in my drinks but I use it for other things.

Also these substitute ,do not provide the B vitamins found in standard milk. The vitsmin D tends to be added D2 not the more useful D3.

Many people are allergic to soya. More often there is soy intolerance that is just discomfort rather than allergic reaction. I suffer the latter, but can est edame seeds.
