Hi, I have an Aviva Nano that I keep as spare one.
I was wondering whether I should keep the batteries in or out.
Batteries in - pro: internal battery always charged; cons: batteries may leak, batteries may exhaust.
Batteries out - pros: save on batteries, no leakage possible; con: internal battery may go flat.
I asked Roche helpline but they didn't know what to advise.

Any thoughts ?

Cheers

@kzlorenz Hey - batteries out, it doesn't really make any difference to the unit but as batteries can and do leak then keep them out ;)

With spare meters (ones which I may use again) I just leave the batteries in and not had any leakage to date, if your just keeping the meter as a keepsake then definitely remove the battery. Choice is yours..............
