Spare Meters?

When I was diagnosed I left the hospital with a freestyle optium neo, 2 months later the DSN gave me the Aviva Expert, I still get the ketone strips but it seems they have removed the bg strips from my prescription, it's not like I'd be ordering them all the time, just have a box in the house 'just in case' and if unused reorder a box when they were nearing the expiry date, advice welcome :) xx

I have a codefree meter as a spare and buy my own test strips. I get 400 test strips every 2 months on prescription, that's 6 to 7 a day. That should be enough but I just don't want to run out and I want to test as often as I feel needed so I buy extra.
 
Just thought I'd update you lovely lot, I emailed Accu Chek last week who have replied today saying they would be quite happy to supply me with an Aviva meter as a spare, I can cope with that and using the neo for ketones so just waiting for accu chek to get back to me :) xx
