@aqualung hope you aren't too sore today. The cats have a habit of doing that sort of thing in our house, usually when you have a hot cup in your hands. I am quite the expert at the jiggling on one leg and swiveling out of way these days.

@connie104 welcome in. It does keep you motivated being on the thread. Though do watch out for the truants and troublemakers. ;-)
:angelic:

Oh heck.

I feel so rough, but have to get myself moving or I really will need the exercise monitors on the case.
Will take myself off to the pool, but it will be a struggle to eat sensibly too.

Up at the office for two days. which means it's stair-climbing time!

Oh aqualung that sounds sore.

Sanguine that sounds sore too lol

Well started my exercises today with a couple of 5 minute walks round houses and garden on Zimmer. Then I thought I would try the crutches and found them quite easy so had another walk with one crutch on my good side and this went ok. Now 12 o clock and time to go to the doctors to get meds prescribed by hospital put on my card so once parked 5 minute walk into doctors only to find she is running 2 HOURS late so really peed off now appointment 12.30 got in to see her at 2.45 !!!!!!!! So I had a long sit down there so after leaving doctors got hubby to stop at supermarket and walked round there ponying at things we needed with my crutch and he put them in the trolley great way to shop !! Knackered now so think that's enough for my first day

Well done Connie, that's a brilliant first day!

Wow felt tired just reading that. My GPs rarely run late these days. Think that's because the surgery is always empty when I go - my CBT is there every Wednesday afternoon when 4 doctors are supposedly on shift but the waiting room is empty. Suspect it's the new phone and speak to GP system they now operate so everyone is fobbed off with a two minute call.

As I live in Spain this is quite a regular thing so I usually try for the 8.3am slot so she has not built up a backlog but today at short notice I could only get 12.30 never again !!!!!

2 and a half hours is a but excessive. Well done with the moving.

Big night tonight my daughter is teaching me to swim ...gulp..I am actually scared.

I hate swimming. Can't be doing with all that water in face. And other people in my bath.
Done my 40 minutes on bike then allowing ten minutes for all the drawer tidying. Up and downstairs with rubbish and lifting in and out must burn something off. Plus the tug of war Io get enough stuff out so I could even open them. May go into get wholesale lingerie business as going at least a dozen unworn pairs of knickers and tights.

Get decent goggles. I use ones with prescription lenses so I can see where I am going. Get hair tucked up in a swim cap. Believe in yourself, and trust your daughter. It is a wonderful feeling to glide weightless through the water, and you don't get a numb bum!

Oooohhh oooohhhh oohhhh just back Pipp . I used her glasses.
She is a great teacher . I listened to her and tried to do what she said .
Can't say I glided weightless but I will . I'm going to master this. I won't feel as self conscious next time. I'm going to go tomorrow and practice then shes going to give me another lesson on Monday.

I think I might be having a mid life crisis lol.

I forgive you for not liking swimming. I couldn't do the bike thing.
Maybe next time I can't get out I will try the declutter and up and down stairs thing. Anything to keep moving.

Oh, Jamrox! So proud of you!
Believe me when I tell you that when you get it right and you just cut through that deep water it feels like you are flying!
Your determination will see you through. Try aqua fit as well. I love the way the water makes you feel stones lighter. ....no, wait a minute, you are already stones lighter.
You are making me feel such a slouch for not trying a new challenge.

I swam 20 mins. Did aquafit , very hard work out, 50 mins. Came home and slept two hours.

Now if only I can sort the eating I will be happy.

Pipp I was never ever determined until March this year and the 5x50 . I can honestly say it changed my life.
I was a couch potato.
Now I have virtual friends on here and we are getting healthier together. If you had told me then that I would be having swimming lessons and running down hills I would have laughed.
I know I keep saying it but I love feeling great and having people tell me I look great.
Another thing I would never have dreamt about was having contact lenses, just getting used to them too.
I am lucky living in the country so I can escape to green fields easily when I need peace too.

I love this quote
