Stabilised BG?

For about the last month, my bg seems to have stabilised at about 6.1. It's always there or .1 different all the time, first thing in the morning, 2 hours after food, last thing at night etc. Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing? Does this mean I'm going to have to go on medication to get it lower or is this an okay figure to have ( to me, reading some other posts, it seems a bit high )? Opinions/advice/knowledge please :D

Hi JK those numbers sound OK to me, I know some like to get as low as possible but if your fasting and postprandial numbers are always low 6's then your next HbA1c should be somewhere in the mid to high 5's which I would think is pretty good without meds

Thanks Sid :D I have my next check up coming up soon, so I'll see what they say too. Don't want to get complacent 8)

My fasting levels are generally around the 6.2 mark and postprandial about 6.4 and my last HbA1c taken last week was 5.6% or 38mmol/L under the new system, I know we are all different but I would think your A1c will be fine.

Good luck :D
