Starting on Metformin

Hi, I have started on 500 mg Metformin, 1 tablet a day. I note that the info with the packet advises not to drink alchohol at all whilst taking it.

Does anybody take Metformin and still have the odd beer?

i do but not often as alcohol raises my BS levels

Hi. I have alcohol and don't worry but I don't binge. I think if you are sensible it has little effect.
