Type 1 Starting on pump

Jeg22

Newbie
Hi..I have started on an insulin pump last week and all seems to be going fine. Only problem is I have a terrible headache ..one of those that never seems to go away..not too sever but relentless! Is this just my body adjusting to the new regime? Is this normal? All my readings on the pump are great and all within range, but my headache and fuzzy thinking are similar to my hypo symptoms?

I started on a pump a few months ago (end of July) and it didn't cause headaches for me.
Did you change to a different insulin? Could you have gotten some bug or illness you're not aware off?
Or maybe if you are running a lot lower than you used to maybe your body does think you're hypo'ing.

Oh and welcome to the forums :)

I had similar as I'd been running high fir months then all of a sudden I had good control..lasted about a week..

I also have to state that Novorapid or fiadp cause me bad headaches that don't go away so I use humalog... so if you changed insulin that could be a cause too
