Hi I am new to this forum and need help and advice it’s complicated out there
I have been diagnosed type 2 for approximately 10 years and just been on diet only. In the last 6 months my food intake has rocketed and I am struggling to eat well. My HbA1c has come back at 60.
My doctor has prescribed Ozempic (semaglutide) injections
Been reading the info lots of negative reviews don’t know what’s best.
Also what’s the best diet ? Low carbohydrate low fat
Any advice please

Low carb, low fat is pretty much impossible.
Low carb higher fat is far better and more beneficial.

Cut down on carbs as much as you can.. eat plenty of protein and fill up with fat for satiety.

It sounds as if you first need some kind of help with whatever problems and emotions are causing your eating to escape your control. This is such a difficult time for many of us, and ten years of diabetes as well sounds pretty trying. Do you have any ideas yourself as to what might help you - changes in your life, counselling ...? Most of us here will recommend low carb rather than low fat as a blood glucose lowering strategy and also for weight loss, but is this realistically an appropriate time to impose this on yourself?
