I did some research online and found that statin is very likely to cause insulin resistance. Anyone in this situation before and how to solve that?

Statins raise blood sugar levels, so can increase the risk of diabetes.

I take a statin. This year, my insulin usage has reduced by half, helped by weight loss & exercise, which suggests that it doesn't.

Mind you, statistically, that's only a sample of one...

I had been taking statins long term since well before I was diagnosed with type 2. After I stopped taking them I had a noticeable drop in my glucose levels. I'd actually been low carbing for a good couple of years and had got them right down but couldn't budge them any further until I stopped. I now wonder in retrospect whether they were one of the things that helped push me over into diabetes.

I have recently resumed taking statins I am also taking CoQ10, my fbg this morning was 4.9 the lowest for some time if my BG levels start to rise significantly I may reconsider.

My hba1c went from 48 to 54 whilst on statins. When I stopped them due to other side effects my hba1c reduced and is now 38.
