""If I thought I was having a heart attack, I wouldn't be waiting for the post mortem.""

My response....

I have a DNR Form in place. I do not care when I head out from this world. I have to go some time, with some illness. I would rather leave this world with an instant heart attack than months or years of cancer. I also will not have any form of treatment for any cancer either.....
I do not wish to live a long life to be honest... I work par time with oap's in a home, I know too many people that truly do not want to be living.

If I have a heart attack, so be it, I die. Only 15% of people that have CPR Will have a full recovery. If I was diagnosed as needing a quadruple bypass being needed, I would not have it done. This is despite seeing my stepdad having a great 10 years since his was done.

I do have a strange outlook on death than the majority of persons. However, I will not have my death due to a drug called a statin.....without it being investigated.......

yikes, im gonna cling on as long as possible, i dont believe in god so for me this is it, id rather be alive in pain than dead lol im hoping i dont live to regret that :)

Not sure ...

In any event using total cholesterol as the measure is bad as your total divided by your hdl ratio is seen to be more meaningful. NICE say try to get that ratio under 5 I think? In the US they reckon an even better measure is your Trigs divided by your HDL ratio but you can't simply calculate it without first converting your UK mmol numbers to US mg/dl values BEFORE calculating the ratio. If you do the conversion then calculate the ratio anything less than 2 is seen as ideal.

I've posted this before may be worth bookmarking, my Trigs/HDL ratio is 0.570 :)

Gosh Andy - I don't believe in god either.. But I also have to cope with pain, but I have had enough of it!, I am not willingly going to do anything to prolong my life beyond the natural time that it thinks I should be gone from it. Certainly not going to have statins impacting artificially on my heart either though, which is why I am glad my hubby reminded me what caused me pains with my heart previously.

Good job we are all different eh?

This is my view too. I'll dig my heels in, get my claws out, and put up whatever fight I have to... because we're a long time dead, so I want to get my money's worth out of life first!
