Statins

I'm like Spiker, I get them prescribed but cholesterol is lower now I've stopped taking them it got to the point that I was in tears with pain in my legs and hips, when I was taking them, so I stopped them and am now pain free.

I just dont understand why GP's and consultants refuse to listen to their patients and report the side effects.

Did patients report such pains before they took statins?

Donnelly,
I didn't because I didn't have the pains before starting and my most fav fruit that I loved grapefruit. Stopped eating when I took statins, what effect does grapefruit have when taking statins , ( sorry admin, going to blunt here) it screws up your kidneys, doesn't that make you think. Try finding a book called the meat fix, the person that, wrote it, said use butter, now what have they said use butter. The book goes into more, the writer had ibs till he changed his diet from the one now being pushed down our throats like statins.

What statins are really doing is acting like a plaster to cover up the wounds caused by the food industry and the modern world that we live in.

So agree iHs....my mum lived during war, was used to rationing and still rations her food ( ie she shares 1 banana with my stepdad!) she isnt on statins, nor are her brothers (my uncles) because they do exactly the same!! And even though my uncle has been diabetic for 35 years-he is not on statins and is 84.
