STAYING FIT

Check out the Exercise subforum here @Eric30 :)

Are you asking on behalf of a person with diabetes?

Walk walk walk! (Briskly of course - building up your speed and distance!)

Walking and running, HIIT with rest days is great too. Eat well and keep active.

Swimming is my true love ( I'm part dolphin ) except I haven't been to the pool in many years due to agoraphobia.

My goal for this year is to get myself swimming again.

Baby steps!

Staying fit or getting fit?
Staying fit is a case of continuing doing what you are already doing diet and exercise wise. Varying what you do can be a great bonus especially where exercise is concerned.
Getting fit needs research and planning. You need to decide on a dietary regime that satisfies your requirements and maintains good BS control. As for exercise you need to be able to enjoy what you are doing whether it be walking, cycling, running, swimming, weighs resistance the list goes on. Decide what interests you and then research and get advice, sounds silly but going for a simple walk that you're not used to as a diabetic can prove quite an eye opener.
Ultimately staying or getting fit should be enjoyable BUT not easy.
