Can anyone give me information on Stiagliptin please, my friends mother has been put on 25mg a day, the mother refuses to be told she is diabetic, causing my friend a lot of problems.

I have been on Forxiga for the past 5 months but it has not taken my blood sugar reading down, Metformin did a better job but I always suffered from a bad stomach and that is why it was changed. Has anyone else had this problem with Forxiga.

My last blood test has come back as 61.

Sitagliptin is also known as Januvia.

From your last blood tests it seems you are having problems getting your levels in check. Do you monitor your own levels, and are you monitoring before and 2 hours after you eat to see what your food choices are doing to your levels?

Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor. That means it inhibits an enzyme that in turn normally shuts off insulin production after a meal. The drug therefore extends insulin production time reducing BS spikes. It is usually used in combination with other diabetes drugs.
