Hi all,

I was just in a very long, quite stressful meeting and I took a look at my Dexcom after it ended. Just thought someone may find it interesting, this kind of impact of stress on BG :)
Here it is:

Not bad all things considered if your meeting was stressful, seen mine go much higher Paulina.

Stress and arguments cause my BG to sky rocket very fast

I had my highest ever bedtime reading following a journey to a holiday cottage that took 8 hours instead of 3 hours due to two separate 20 mile tailbacks on the motorway. I wasn't even driving, but the stress took hold. There were no changes to my eating habits.

I'm blaming heat here as well. The meeting room has no AC and the windows were closed so it got really hot really fast...

Well with both heat and stress at play, you got off lightly! ;-)

What I hate most about stress is when the adrenalin feeling convinces me I am low, but actually I am high.

What is tht wonderful piece of equipment I have never seen anything like it ???

If you mean @PaulinaB's photo @kimmykib that is a Continuous Glucose Meter, CGM. You have to buy them yourself (except in very rare cases). It measures your blood sugar constantly and provides graphs like what you see on the screen.

I would second you got off lightly. Had an interview tuesday and I had bg of 13+ for at least two days before (i quite want the job but its 4 hours north so much stress)

Cortisol is the body's stress hormone, and one of its actions is to increase blood glucose levels, explains the upward trend

I've seen mine go up like that when giving closing presentations to clients at the end of an audit, it's that adrenaline kicking in as part of the fight or flight response to stress, supposed to give us a better awareness and chance of running from slathering snarly beast.

Or having a good argument.

Or a conversation with my mother!!
