Stress at work is causing huge issues with my sugar levels, can't get them below 10, and now not sleeping at night, any ideas.
yep mine started doing that last year, stress causing blood sugar spikes and the sleep thing , in the end the doctor put me off work at xmas and I left on medical grounds a few weeks back...
Went on a few stress and management courses and it pretty much boiled down to the this...
1) The job has always been stressful and always would be
2) The stress was affecting my BS levels of which I have no control over
3) So take an ever increasing amount of pills or leave the job
4) An easy choice in the end , ruin my health further or get out and concentrate on my health
May I ask what you do for a living ?
It was honestly the best choice I have ever made, trying to hold down a job with the BS spikes causing lots of problems coupled to most days going in to do a 12 hour shift with only 1 or 2 hours sleep (or none) was a nightmare...........
Depends on circumstances I guess (and I dont know yours) but I was single in a housing association flat, so most of my rent is paid and am on ESA from contributions (20 years on the job), not a lot of money after paying the bills but zero stress, so can concentrate on getting better ..........
