Striving to defy the odds

My second cap for the Wales national futsal team in the first home nations tournament was bitter sweet. We won the game 7-1 and I played a lot of minutes but it ended with a broken bone in my foot.

On one hand I'm extremely proud again to play for the country but absolutely gutted to be out for 6 weeks and miss the rest of the tournament. .

I'll come back stronger. Injuries are part and parcel of playing sport.

Just hope the boys can win the rest of the tournament !

What a fantastic result in goal terms, but I'm so, so sorry to hear about your broken foot! That's so unfortunate! Hope it heals well and quickly.

And along with you I'm rooting for the boys for success in the rest of the tournament.

Huge game tomorrow with the decider against England we've got 2 wins from 2 and so have they!

Yer I will do! It's going to be a tough one. They're ranked higher than we are but I've got faith in the boys to pull off the upset!

No weight on the foot at all for the moment!

Won the game 6-2! Fantastic performance from the lads. Just gutted I couldn't be there and play a part.

I'll be back no doubts about it. Might be next season now with the national team but I'm still extremely proud of what's happened this season and I was delighted we won it. History makers!!

I'll keep going till the legs tell me they can't take it any more! . After all these opportunities only come round once in a lifetime!

Wales vs Northern Ireland in the game I played. I was number 4.

Injury is part and parcel of sport. I'll be fine. Couple of weeks in and I think it's improving so fingers crossed it won't be too long!

I've just started my rehab after a couple of weeks struggling and it's tough going!
