Hi I am struggling with my injections and feel like I want to give up? Does anyone else feel the same?

How long have you been injecting?

It gets better, honest. In fact I'm glad to inject as it's so much easier than restrictions than being on tablets or diet only...

What are you actually struggling with?

It does take time to adjust. It's only been months.

I speak as a type 1 that cried herself to sleep every night for 6 weeks, 30+ years ago. I used to think in those times "why me" (not brothers?!!) however, the grieving stage does pass..and I have to reckon it to grieving.. Sorry but it is like a loss of your life that you knew.... However.. Honest, it does get better.

Once you learn how to eat with insulin balanced you really don't worry. Tonight whilst typing this with right hand I have a small scoop of Ben n Jerrys peanut butter cup ice cream in my left hand!

A lot of learning takes place when 1st going on to injections, but gaining a positive attitude helps.
