Submission on fats and carbs to Which? and Diabetes UK?

Given up all hope, but it is fun! :)

Never give up LGC. I've siad this before when these threads start, if you want change you have to be prepared to raise your head above the parapet, perhaps by forming an action group amongst yourselves might throw some weight behind what your campaigning for, I'm sure they'll be no shortage of volunteers on the forum to step forward and offer their support.

Sorry to say I really don't think this will get off the ground, education yes, but Which and DCUK are not the places for a petition of this kind, not sure where is, but DCUK are if you look at the thread listings, asking for people who think that divorce or loss by death caused their diabetes and they want these people to talk to the press office and journalists, need \I say more.

DCUK are the owners of this forum, DUK (who LGC is referring to) is a separate organisation.

First small step (I've been away on holiday for a while).
Encouraging people to vote for Which? to do an investigation of the truth about fat and sugar (see recent thread).
This project is a slow burn.

I'm always game for a bit of parapet peeking. All you have to do is dodge a few arrows and the reality is that I like tree shaking as you never know what might fall out.

As a long time diabetic, I firmly believe that it is my duty to beat the living **** out of diabetic specialists and GPs who, in my estimated opinion, are no such thing. It doesn't always win friends, but if you don't start somewhere, nothing happens. So where's the **** tree, and let's start shaking it...

How do we vote again? (yes I am too lazy to scroll up through this thread)

If you don't somewhere, you ain't going nowhere. Bob Marley :)

Which? magazine is running a poll to vote on proposed new investigation topics.
This include "The truth about fat and sugar".
Something which is dear to the hearts of many diabetics.

So can I ask that if you are a Which? subscriber, you consider going to their website at
http://www.which.co.uk/about-which/what-we-offer/magazines-and-books/vote-on-future-articles/
and adding a vote to get them to consider this.

I have also added a comment requesting that they extend the study to consider all carbohydrates, not just sugar.
This is a major chance to influence what is investigated by Which? so if you have a favourite topic, then go for it!
