Worry not, you fell off the 'D' bike. Dust yourself down and get back on just as soon as you are readyI was diagnosed t2 13 weeks ago and so far have average bs of 5.8 - I know cos I've been wearing the freestyle libre. Don't know why but this afternoon got really fed up and had 2 flapjacks and a bar of chocolate. Needless to say the blood sugar is soaring. Bother bother (or less repeatable words to that effect). I'm not on meds. It seems like once a month or so I get so fed up of the food plan (lchf).
Oh blimey, its good to know someone knows how it feels!!

Can you burn off the excess with exercise? Put on your favourite dance music, an exercise video, prance about and convert the sugar to something harmless.
