My sugar doesn't spike as much if am active or do a brisk walk for 30-40mibs post meal.
Today I walked for 40mins post lunch of fish, egg omelet and salads, my sugar was 100mg/dl after 1 hour 15mins
After breakfast of nuts and yogurt my sugars were 100(40mibs), 105(1hour), 104(1hour,30min,)
After dinner (@8.15pm )of seer fish, veg salad, veg fry, mango pickle, cheese15g..... My sugar after 4.5hours is 104mg/dl. I slept immediately after dinner, didn't walk
Is this because if insulin resistance?

Sorry @saky is what because of insulin resistance?
your food looks delicious and you sugar levels have been wonderful all day, I really can't see what you are worried about. I really do think you should stop testing for a while and just get on with the business of enjoying your life.

@saky
4mg/dL is just 0.2mmol/L and is well within the bounds of error of a meter (which are allowed to be +- 15% accurate as compared to a lab draw .

It sounds like you are successfully keeping to normal non diabetic levels at the moment. Congratulations. My suggestion would be to try not to worry. (after all, stress pushes blood sugar levels up :))

Hi @saky

Those levels look good, and exercise may well be helping to level out your blood glucose.

But could you explain what you mean by a blood glucose ‘spike’?

It is perfectly normal for blood glucose to rise and fall naturally due to stress, food, dawn phenomenon, exercise and 50 other things. These are not really ’spikes’. They are simply fluctuations. A ‘spike’ is really something much more significant - such as when a type 1 diabetic experiences their blood glucose rising from 4 to 15 mmol/l and then drops back down to 6mmol/l as their insulin takes effect.

I understand you have family history that is worrisome but you are overthinking this. Your levels are normal and good. Meters are not precise instrument. They have a margin of error and even that isn’t consistent even with the same machine. I can test the same blood drop twice and ge two different readings. The differences you are worrying about are nothing. Eat a good low carb diet, exercise where you can and stop stressing. The worry will do you more harm than anything else currently is. Have a regular hba1c , perhaps do a single day of testing now and then to make sure your response remain the same and otherwise live your life.
