Sunshine? What's sunshine? Oh, wait, we did have a lovely day the other day, nearly 8 hrs of it I think. Is that enough? 20 mins of sunshine may lift the spirits and give a dose of Vit D (a different one according to @DavidGrahamJones's link), but cutting T2 risk? In mice, perhaps. Having lived abroad (including Zanzibar many moons ago, @SueJB - nice climate. Good choice!) it hasn't helped me or my parents. Or countless others who have far more of the lovely yellow rays than we do in this rainy corner of the Universe.
