Far too much introduction, though.

At the moment I am trying to get my head round the various differently named measures which all seem to be using the ratio between fasting BG and fasting insulin.

Very interesting and slightly discouraging as it seems we're a long way from a test that is reliable and simple enough to be on a standard test battery from a typical doctor's office.
