Sweet food

Hello.
I would like to know if anyone eats any cake biscuit sweets or milk chocolate? I find it so depressing to think no more treats for ever. I'm prediabetic and thought I would give it a try. I made some apple crumble made with oat and porridge topping the whole thing only had a half a cup of sugar and I felt terrible after, it was a very small bit, i fell into a deep sleep and when I woke up felt terrible bad headache and a hangover so I'm thinking no more sugar ever. I'm thinking of trying a sweetener but they have always upset my stomach. Has anyone else had this problems with the falling asleep?

I still make cakes but I reduce the amount of sugar I put in and we have them as a treat. I avoid crumbles are they are too sweet for us. It's funny but now that I have more or less cut out sugar, I find cakes and biscuits far too sweet, so rarely eat them. I make custard and add sweetener after it has been cooked and the same with stewed fruit.

I know members on here still eat chocolate and they will advice on the best brands to buy.

People who think they are always right and ram their opinions down your throat. No-one knows everything. Those who shout loudest are usually the ones who actually know the least.
I had one teeny tiny cake last Sunday - the first one in literally months and afterwards my levels were really high for me, so none for me for the foreseeable future. It's not worth it.
