Depends where you live. Try any of the major supermarket chains. If you have an Indian/Asian grocery store nearby you should find them easily enough. I was in Asda this morning and there were piles of the things.

I just bought a bag of them yesterday in Tesco and, if you pardon the pun, they were cheap as chips.

thank you everyone for your posts. i will try getting them from asda, i couldn't find them in tesco. :D and yum i'm sure it tastes good with cheese. :D

Best with nothing added.

Also, try and find the white fleshed type rather better than the usual orange fleshed.

Make brilliant chips if cut thick.

As a pie - with Marshmallows and Pecans and cream.

I so miss marshmallows!!! I am a vegetarian and gelatine free mallows are expensive mail order treat. Other than that sounds yummy!
Sweet pots make fab low fat soup too.

Sweet potatoes also make excellent roasties too! :D

I love them when cut into chunks, drizzled with Olive Oil and sprinkled with some herbs. Roasted in the oven until slightly blackened round the edges. Goes great with a nice steak....... :D

Try also sprinkling a oxo cube over them too and then roast..............absolutely delicious! :D

In the summer we wrap them in foil and bake them in the BBQ. Delicious with a small knob of butter and black pepper.

Talking of the white fleshed variety, I've noticed that they are with the fresh herbs and exotic fresh spices (chillies, lemon grass etc.) in our local Tesco. The orange fleshed variety are with the "ordinary" potatoes.

........Teco/asda/sainsburys they all sell them.

I always get put off buying them, I only tasted them once when I was at resturant and was put off because they was so oily. I never ate omlettes for 8 years once because one made me sick.

So maybe in a few years I will like sweet potatos lol

Keep them in the salad box in your fridge they will keep longer.

How will you be serving them CR? Glad you found them, of course now you have found them they will be everywhere you go!

Tried these boiled, very bland. Much prefer them roasted in the oven. Sometimes roast them and then use a dip and dunk them. Delicious change from all that humous and stuff.
