I have begun taking 45mg Pioglitazone after convincing my doctor to take me off Metformin due to stomach issues.

I am very interested in learning about other Diabetics’ weight gain experiences after quitting Metformin and/or beginning Pioglitazone.

I’m also on 60mg Diamicron x 2 and 100 units of Tresiba 100.

Totally agree, I too was offered this med and refused it after reading about side effects and drug companies cover up and fine on diabetes uk under the drugs info pages. Gps tend to work through a list of what to offer next I’d do set mean it’s always the best med for you.
