I have been told Taurine can help lower blood sugars has anyone tried this and if so which sort did you try!
I don't really see how that would work - most people have enough taurine to cover the requirement for it - unless they are avoiding dairy and animal products very carefully.
Some taurine is created in the body, it can help in repairing nerve damage - and where heart failure is happening due to nerve damage it is a useful supplement to take in some cases but it seems a bit of a stretch to recommend it for glucose control. Is it perhaps an association between improving muscle mass due to muscle being repaired and that would result in better glucose processing or increased glucose burning - maybe going back to the source of the advice could provide some sort of rationale?
My little grey cells are probably burning through glucose at the moment to try to cook up some sort of connection.
