Hi folks :D
type2 on meds . For the last 20 years i have been a big fan of coffee.
2 x breakfast 2 x 10'oclock etc etc. The strangest thing is over the last week i have gone off coffee and now drink tea i've never liked tea. But of lately i cannot even smell coffee without feeling ill. Has anyone else found there taste is different pre / pro diabetic :o

No - for me there was no change in my preferences for tea or coffee. I continue to love both but I drink far more coffee than tea. I do however have cream in my coffee instead of milk a) because it's nicer :) and b) because it has less carbs. Tea has the snag of making me want a biscuit with it :(

On no, how can you go off coffee!!!! Only joking, havent found that I have gone off anything - even chocolate which I was hoping my bod wouldnt want :( I have the 85% dark now and I dont need so much yummy. I am having a will power week this week and not letting my bod have too much off the good stuff and am feeling alot better for it yippee

No difference for me, except the occasional feeling that I could murder someone for a pork pie

No difference for me either. Taste and smell disturbances can also be down to a number of things, other conditions, medication induced etc. Might be an idea to get it checked out with your GP.

Justfocus, its obvious, your PREGNANT!!!! (if your male, then your going to make millions)

Like both tea and coffee but my preference is tea most days and I've never noticed any change in my taste since diagnoses, could it be related to the meds you are taking?
