Type 2 Tea

Not as I know.
Pg tips here, my fav

But green tea is meant to have many good properties.

You missing out or having issues ?

The tea should not have an adverse effect well I have had no issues with it anyway but if you have milk in it there would be some effect on your blood sugars as milk has carbs I have found the small amount of milk I have in my tea not to be a big problem.

The problem I have with tea is that it tastes and smells awful, just as you might expect from stewed dried leaves. I have to suffer making about 10 cups a day of the horrible stuff for my wife. It probably stains your insides like old leather but I don't think it would affect blood sugar.

I think it can depend on the type of tea as some have fruit in them which I think would have an effect on your blood sugar levels- I haven't tried it but if you do you may want to test.

Tea has no carbs or protein or other chemicals which would raise your insulin levels. Certain fruit based teas may have a little sugar in them, so check the ingredients.
The reason milk was originally added to tea was to stop it from staining the cup. But when you add milk, what your tasting is not the tea but the milk. In addition milk kills the antioxidants in the tea. Adding a little lemon and apple cider vinegar to your tea will stop it staining the cup and will help improve your digestive system.
Does drinking Tea with no sugar affect diabetes ?

Does drinking Tea with no sugar affect diabetes ?
It might, a tiny bit... If it's in teabags. There's a minute bit of sugar in most bagged teas used as a cheap flavour enhancer, and it doesn't have to be specifically mentioned on the label because it's so very little. I think less than half a gram per 100 grams of tea. (Often mentioned, if at all, as "natural flavours" or "natural aroma's") Best way to check is to just cut open a teabag and look for little white granules. Just switched to loose leaf tea myself, which has no granules at all. Took a little getting used to for me because it was more bitter than what I was used to, but... Quite fine now. But, honestly... It really is next to nothing.
