Hi Everyone
Self testing on a tee 2 monitor just recently readings are all over from 5.5 to 8 even up to 10 mmol
Had the meter some while at least 4years might even be older
Wondered if it's time to change meters
Thank

You can if you want but have you tried a test soultion - I don't use the Tee 2 but aware many T2 like it due to the lesser cost for strips but for all the meters I have used I have been able to get a test solution from the manufacture to test the meter is working correctly. This was always been sent FOC but I am T1.

However the annoying thing is it comes with quite a lot of soultion but once open doesn't last for long.

Do you have a friend/family member who definitely does not have diabetes who you can test?
Their numbers should be around 5mmol/l (between 4 and 6).
It is not accurate but will highlight if your meter is definitely reading high.

You could: (1) Change the battery (2) Ring up Spirit Health and say you are getting erratic readings. No need to mention the 4 years since you bought your TEE2 unless they ask. I recently did this with my Codefree and Home Health kindly sent me a new one free of charge. (3) Buy a new TEE2 and compare the readings on your 2 meters. Or even splash out on a Navii meter and strips. I liked being able to compare the two systems. (4) Splash out on a Libre CGM sensor to get an over view. Good luck!

Once I got of posting I had a look at the sprit health website and it says they are free (test solution) but not sure if you would still incurr postage as didn't look any further, As others suggested give them a call.

Re the suggestion of getting a friend or relative - I would be cautious on this as how do you now they 'definately don't have diabetes' also have they just eated as non diabectic also raise after meals

In my experience (not very recent) with Spirit Health, they are really generous and free means free.

It may be worth upgrading to the TEE2+ the strips inexpensive as they are the same as the Tee2 strips and it has blue tooth.

Can confirm test solution for Tee2 from Spirit Healthcare is free as have just ordered some totally free and no postage payment required.
