Just part of the story ... like the drop bears fable
Same here. A bit like another thread that's disappeared?
Ah. A terrifying creature. Part of the 'advice' given by the Australian Tourist Information Service (?) in response to questions from visitors...... (Which is brilliant!)
For those who get the humour Larrikin nature of us and sadly, a decaying and dying culture
@Sue192 I think we need a new Icon for this type of story/posting.
I agree, @archersuz....
The Drop Bear fable was in the Australian Geographic magazine several years ago.
Don't forget a little dab of Vegimite behind the ears to ward them if you are a tourist.
You are not wrong, say the wrong word / name thing now and you are racist, sexist or what ever is the flavour of the month for politically correctness.
I note your advice regarding Vegemite, @Tipetoo. I have also taken on board the advice from the Tourist Board that all your snakes are completely harmless and make good pets
It is sad to read that that humour is disappearing, @Mike D and @Tipetoo - PC'ness doesn't recognise humour in any form.
