Test kits on planes

Yes, I also take insulin, needles etc on the plane in case my luggage goes missing. Never had a problem.

Hello,
Yes it is allowable while flying and most of the times i saw many people carry that...

All medication should be carried in hand luggage, for safety reasons as well as the fact that liquids, e.g. Insulin would freeze in the hold and therefore be unusable. I carry all tablets, Insulin, lancets, test kit, needles etc. and just say I am carrying Insulin and needles. No problem. My husband also carries a duplicate set of all medication for me in case my hand luggage goes missing, or something happens to it, (stolen or damaged in any way, or in case the trip has to be extended through weather or illness. This way it is one less worry if I have more medication than I need. As I use up to 13 disposable Insulin pens for a 14 day holiday, this means carrying an awful lot when doubled, plus tablets and all other necessities for testing and injecting, but better safe than sorry !
