Hi I use acu check aviva test strips, and have to noticed a huge jump in price, In february I could get them online for £18 a tub. They now seemed to have jumped to over £22 a tub. A big jump in a very short time . All other manufacturers seem to be of similar cost.
Any ideas where I can get them any cheaper. I know all the arguments about prescriptions , they allow me 4 tubs a year, and I've already threatened action to force them to comply with nice. Hit the usual brick wall

If you can't get your GP to prescribe more strips and you want to test more then I am afraid you may have to consider self funding. You have been lucky to get any from your GP as many of us T2's are left to buy our own from day 1.

If you do decide to go this route have a look at the SD Codefree (Just Google and you will end up at the UK supplier) The SD codefree is the cheapest option and, although you will need to buy their meter, the strips are £4.99 for 50 with a £2.00 P&P per order if you go through eBay.
