Hi all!

I just had a fun trip to my pharmacy, where I found out that the doctors surgery had decided to change my prescription from my Contour Next strips (which I use for me meter that matches with my pump) , to GlucoRx strips without consultation with me and I don't even own a meter to use those strips with! Luckily for me the pharmacist gave me the my my Contour Next strips and I have been to see the doctors so hopefully that's the end of it but has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, that was annoying I dare say but I`m sure it was a genuine mistake and ultimately it didn`t inconvenience you too much, that`s the main thing.

Hi There,
That's about par for the course, they tried that on me but I put my foot down explaining that I need a meter I can trust to be reasonably accurate for my insulin jabs and for driving unless they wanted me to be breaking the law, they will try it again at some point I'm sure and if they do I will stand my ground again. Good luck.......:bag:

When I first changed over top my pump, gp surgery prescribed Accu-Chek strip even though my pump uses Freestyle, took them back to the pharmacy to exchange but they said they would have to request a new prescription but would loan me 50 strips until the prescription came through, I asked what would happen with the Accu-Chek strips and they said they'd be binned as they had a dispensing label on, thought it was a terrible waste so asked for them back so that I could give them away but they refused my request

Had I known this I would never have taken them back and just put the Freestyle prescription request in myself, but you live and you learn................
