Test Strips withdrawn

I was given a whole 50 and told to test twice a week, yes, so the spuds, and cakes I had last week will show up when I test a week later,. I have had no follow up appointments, or any thing, I was thinking if/when I do get an appointment, I will eat a load of carbs, and cakes etc, the day before and see what the outcome is..I am going to write to Stephen Burns ( the health minister) in the new year ,,, and will update you all on the reply ... I'm t2 on med as well

A T1 man went in to a coma while driving and crashed into another car, killing the driver of it. He was given a 3 year gaol sentance for dangerous driving

"It later transpired that Dodd had failed to self-medicate or check his blood sugar levels before getting behind the wheel of his Ford Transit."

One of the points against him was that he failed to test before getting in the car and was so held to be negligent.

Surely this must be an argument for those who are at risk of hypo's not having their test strips stopped or rationed?
