Tested Pre-diabetic But With Same Hypoglycemia Symptoms

Messages

30 plus years ago i was found to be hypoglycemic and i've always stayed low on sugar or when i've overdone it used protein, or almonds, or peanut butter to get my system back, over this past few months all my blood glucose reading are in the (fasting 115) fairly normal range 120's to mid 130's and yet i still have the
hypoglycemic symptoms (weak legs and shaky inside mostly) and the help things don't last long enough ...not taking any medicine should i be in anyone's
opinion?

Hi @functional_fossil :)

Do you take your blood sugar when you feel shaky? If those readings you've given are during the shakiness then it doesn't seem like hypoglycaemia as that would be lower sugars.

I suggest you speak to your doctor and get a general checkover to rule out blood sugar problems and also other problems that may be causing this.

yeah, I agree except the symptoms are certainly what I've experienced for years, other alternatives I've considered from google research could be sleep apnea and/ or vitamin D deficiency...recent lab tests have shown okay...so, I guess I'll just keep hunting
but your reply certainly sounds reasonable ...thanks
