Hello dear community,

I'm currently on testosterone sustanon 250 and I feel I started to be more insulin resistant, I need to take a lot of units to normalize my sugar level with when eating a meal with carbs. Haven't had these issues on Enanthate. It's not very good for me being that resistant, any1 had similar experiences?

Also, please don't judge me like why I'm taking it and so on.. I ve been diabetic over 18 years and never had HbA1c over 6 and working out for 8 years already.

you will find that with Sustanon, being different esters, has a different release profile that Enanthate which is only one ester of testosterone. The different release rates of Sustanon causes your insulin requirements to increase, the resistance will increase depending on your cycle length, dosage size and also if you are taking any Oral types as well. I am not going to suggest changing mid cycle back to enanthate but if you are worried about resistance, then you may have too, but it depends if you are after strength or just pure size.

I had before Enanthate and didn't have this problem, I just wanted to try sustanon. But it's just 2 weeks I'm on sustanon, so there is no issue change it to Enanthate for me. Not taking any orals. Wanted Dbol but it will make even worse, so nope.

Edit: Taking 400mg/week of Sustanon 250, I have 92kg. 180 cm. Cycle lenght should be 16-18weeks.

@johnpol , do you have any personal experience with it? if I may ask?

I have some experience with most forms of Testosterone (not for many years now) you need to try and keep to the single esters if you can. Sust can and will raise your Blood Sugar levels, as can some others you need to evaluate what you want to achieve and what Post cycle therapy protocols you feel like you need. Make sure that you get some blood work done to tell you what your natural levels are after you finish your cycle, also add in some supplements to help protect the liver, like Milk Thistle.

Yes, doing tests a lot. Also monitoring my sugars very well. I switched back to Enanthate, as sustanon is not for me. But it will take a few days until it normalize back I believe. For Liver protection I'm using Liv 52, but atm not planning to run any orals, maybe Oxan later. Thanks for info.

Little bit updates today.

Before back workout my blood sugar was 7,5mmol. After totally 1 hour of training+some stretches I came back home it was 7,0mmol. I eat some carbs as I didn't had many carbs during the day and wanted to fill up my carbs.

Did 80g of carbs and 40g protein + 10g of fats, Injected my second dose of Toujeo 15 units + 15 units of Humalog.... 1H 30min later, my sugar is 9,1mmol!!!, then injected 9 units of Humalog. again 2 hours later sugar is even bigger 9,7!!!

So I injected again 9 units. one hour later, my sugar is 6,3mmol and it's going finally down I had a another meal and it stabilized. I'm having this insulin resistance situations mainly in the morning and after workout... Its a lot of units and its still not going down. I'm a bit worried about this. I think sustanon f***cked me a lot sadly...

Any advice? I dropped Sustanon and Switched to TEST E... I want to believe when I continue with proper diet and training it will normalize back. Its not goot taking so much insulin I belive.
