Thought it was about time i thanked everyone who posts, and who give out great advise to newbies like me. even though you didn't know you were helping me :)
,makes me wonder how many other people you guys help with all your advice and like me were to scared to post.

i have been lurking around the forum since i was diagnosed type 2 on September 2nd 2014,
i am so glad i found this forum before i saw a dietitian . .i couldn't believe what she was telling me to eat.

so far with the help of this forum and the lchf , i have my sugars under control and have lost 30 kg / 60 lb in weight still have more to loose .
when i was diagnosed my hbAic was 8.4 and my fasting bg was 12. i had my first 3 month blood test done early December and my hbA1c is now 5.5, and my fasting blood glucose range from 4.7 to 5.8 most mornings
i will be having more intensive blood test at the end of
February to see how everything is going.

Anna29 there is nothing wrong with the forum i am just not use to joining forums this is my first time. when i was first diagnosed i think i read everything on here and it was the best thing i did, i was very scared about been diagnosed type 2 ,but this site and all the posters put my mind at ease, once again thank you all.

hi Brunneria ,
When i was first diagnosed ,i found this forum and after reading lots i decide i just needed to get all the high carb foods out of my diet and there were plenty to get rid of. to be honest i didnt even know what carbs were until i came here . so i decide to go cold turkey on the high carbs and just get rid of them so i couldnt be tempted
,i know longer eat any potatoes , sugar wheat based products white flour, pasta, rice, junk food ,sweets, breads fruit , theirs more but too many to remember i mainly eat veggies and meat or meat and salad and eggs and bacon for breakky.
i also started exercising for the first time in my life , i use too walk around and around my hall way for 15 minutes after each meal but have since upgraded to a treadmill .best thing i have every brought .

Totally brilliant!! Well done, you are an inspiration. :)

Now you have made the step to join in on the forum, please come back again and again. We don't bite ..... everyone is friendly and supportive and we are all virtual friends.

That's fantastic. If only people with success stories like you were able to feed back to their 'dieticians' the nonsense they profer, they might start to do some better research on what the good foods are. Sadly I suspect you will never see her/him again and they will continue living on planet Zog.

The wife was nagging me for a tread mill .. I walk the dogs in the woods so don't need one .. But the wife has a metal based ankle so falls over sometimes when out walking .. She she would rather walk indoors near a telephone to call for help when she takes a tumble :banghead:

Hi @Enclave

Did very well over the crimbo and new year food wise .. But had friends over on New Year's Day .. They thought it funny to play who has got the lowest blood sugar ... So out came my meter .. I was in the 5's so was the wife .. One friend was in the 6's the other top end of 8 ... It did not plan out how they expected !
We all are the same .. So long term LCHF seems work :angelic: both dogs are good ..
Hope you had a good time over the holls

I got myself a cross trainer a couple of months ago and my sister, who has a plate in her ankle, had a go and got on OK with it so that may be an option for her!

For someone who never even asked a question, that's a pretty good effort to put all that into effect :)

Well done :)
