Hi.

I was diagnosed with type 2 last week. My score was 58. The nurse at doctor surgery was lovely but as she said is not a diabetic nurse so could not give me much guidance.

I was terrified, anxious, in shock, and got really down. THEN...

I found this forum. I have spent the last few days eating up all the advice you guys have given to others. I have a meter and am following a low carb diet. I am not hungry and no longer scared.

So again thanks and I will be reading all further advice. The doctor's really were no help at all. Basically said read this nhs info and see ya.

I know I will be OK with you lot behind me.

That’s lovely of you to say so! We have all been in a similar situation and help from here is invaluable, I certainly wouldn’t be so healthy now if I hadn’t found this forum too.
