The All New BERTiE Online Education Programme - Carb Counting and then some!

Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine Centre, the originators of the BDEC course which is now some 14 years old have created an updated online training scheme known as BERTiE.

This course explains what Diabetes is, what the different insulins are and do and calculating appropriate ratios, then goes into an extensive section on Carb counting and Insulin Adjustment, including correction doses. Finally, it has a section on life and includes sick day rules amongst other things. It could almost be DAFNE-lite.

I strongly recommend that anyone how is looking for help with Carb Counting and understanding how living with T1 works who hasn't had any education go and take a look!
 
Didn't realise it was 14 years old :wideyed:

Just typed in Google BDEC carb counting and see it still takes you to the old site, if you register does it redirect you to the BERTIE On-Line?

Not yet - I need to have a talk with them as it's not ideal in Google. It was literally launched an hour ago though so more users will drive search rankings. Follow my link!
